The Curious Tales of Italo Ferreira

'The Curious Tales of Italo Ferreira', una coproducción entre Billabong y O2 de 45 minutos de duración, muestra de la forma más íntima posible la figura de Italo Ferreira.

“Cuando empezamos a rodar en Baia Formosa (RN), no podía imaginar que fuera a ser tan emotivo. Me estoy imaginando a la gente mirándolo ... Me emocioné, así que creo que la gente sentirá un poco de lo que sentí durante mi historia, y lo difícil que fue enfrentarse algunos desafíos", dice Italo. “Y una curiosidad para todos: le pedí al equipo que lanzara la película solo después de Tokio, porque allí iba a hacer historia y quería que apareciera en la película”, revela.

El documental de aproximadamente 45 minutos se remonta a los orígenes de Italo, en Baia Formosa (Rio Grande do Norte, Brasil), a través de testimonios de amigos, familiares y la comunidad de surfista de la localidad, así como a través de imágenes inéditas de cuando era un niño. Desde su inicio en el surf con una plancha de poliestireno, hasta recorrer el planeta en busca de las mejores olas, la producción acerca la esencia de Italo a la audiencia, mientras él sigue siendo "un niño lleno de sueños".

Mason Ho & Sheldon Paishon roam around Bali on an ATV trying to find little waves on a down day. Then they head off to Lombok again to try chase down that elusive 20 second barrel. Ending back up in Bali for a couple waves at Keramas with Dusty Payne.

SURFING Lower Trestles with Fanning, Robinson, Gudauskas and other Pro's

 

 Is it possible to make lower Trestles look better than it actually is? Yes, it is when Mick Fanning, Jack Robinson, Tanner Gudauskas, Wade Carmichael and other pros are in the line up. An August swell that hit Trestles brought some of the top surfers in the world to the famed surf spot. I was chasing this swell up in Malibu but luckily my friend and filmed Brian Bott was there to capture the action. Thanks to Brian for sharing his footage. Thanks for watching.
